This question came up on one of my Facebook groups. The question was asked by a hand quilter. I had a serious WTF! moment when another quilter who also does a lot of needle work answered.
“Turn the needle over, the hole really is bigger on one side”
Guess what!?! It’s true. hand sewing needle holes are beveled on one side to make sewing easier.
South Texas chick who drinks margaritas, makes not boring socks, quilts, leaves her christmas lights up till March (inside the house), and has an opinion on everything. Has a not-so-secret occupation and she also married into one of the coolest ranching families ever.
